Plural advises Blackstone on NEC acquisition

Plural has advised Blackstone in its acquisition of the NEC Group, owner of the UK’s largest exhibitions venue, from Lloyds Development Capital.

The NEC Group owns 5 events venues, including the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, which together host more than 750 events per annum, including Spring Fair, the UK’s largest trade show, and Crufts, the iconic dog show.

The Group attracts more than 7 million visitors to its sites annually and is due to host nine sports as part of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
