Plural Strategy has announced the promotion of Louise Obadia to Partner.
25 years’ experience in media and events
Louise joined Plural in 2019, bringing over 25 years’ experience in the media and events industry. She founded and led the content-driven events business, Adam Smith Conferences (ASC), in 1998 which soon became the leading events organiser across Russia & the CIS. At Informa plc, Louise was responsible for the successful acquisition, integration and incubation of events and media businesses globally in the Finance, Life Sciences and TMT sectors.
Impact at Plural Strategy
Louise has established an integration and implementation practice at Plural and supported clients in solving their strategic challenges. Recent engagements include:
- Post-merger implementation (PMI) of a subscription information and events portfolio,
- A new event strategy for a high-profile member organisation, and
- Commercial due diligence on an information business.
As well as driving growth for clients, Louise has also made significant contributions to Plural’s operations. She has driven change across recruitment, people, finance and marketing.
Speaking about her promotion, Louise said:
I am thrilled to be appointed Partner. When I joined Plural, I saw an opportunity to be part of a growing business that is entrepreneurial, agile and focused on delivering excellent work for its clients. What I didn’t know then was quite how special the culture at Plural is – defined by integrity, generosity, resilience and fun!
It has been very rewarding to drive change across Plural’s operations and bring new services to our clients across the events, media and B2B information sectors. Plural’s exceptional analytical approach and strategic thinking, together with my operational experience, has led to real impact for our clients.
The experience of the last 18 months has led clients across all sectors to become more focused on understanding changing customer needs and behaviours. I am excited about driving growth for our investor and operator clients by leveraging Plural’s in-depth sector knowledge underpinned by strategic customer understanding.
I’d like to thank the Partners and team at Plural for giving me this opportunity.
